Leading North Star's Location Sound team is owner/founder Carl Rudisill. After working on many musical recordings (where he received a Grammy nomination), Carl turned his expertise to film and tv. He worked on such high profile projects as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Black Knight, and the Young Indiana Jones series (an Emmy nomination for this). Be sure to check out his mobile production vehicle- it makes a great production office and he can even do ADR on location. Larry Long is another member of North Star's location sound team. Larry just finished mixing 6 seasons of Dawson's Creek, and has worked with Carl for years.

Currently, Carl prefers his 24-bit DEVA disk recorder, coupled with a Zaxcom digital mixer, but he has Fostex DAT recorders and a couple of 1/4" Nagra's in the arsenal.
